Components
of Data Transmission
Different possibilities
can be used for the transmission of the measured values from the data logger
(acquisition and logging) to the PC (evaluation and archiving). Between these possibilities you may choose specific to the project:
Two interfaces RS 232 and RS 485 are available as a
standard. Data transmission is possible by means of wires up to a maximum of
10 m and 1.200 m respectively.
If there are greater distances between the data logging unit and the PC,
telephone modem or cell phone modem will be preferable.
If the data are not used in real time, you can use the possibility to store them
on a PCMCIA memory card.
The PCMCIA card can also be used as a backup medium.
